On July 18th, 2019, the Raleigh-Durham CUGC meeting took place at the Citrix Offices in downtown Raleigh. The Citrix building is located in the warehouse district and is a former steel warehouse. Original pulleys and I-Beams are still present and were used to move massive steel beams to trains and trucks years ago, but now provide a reminder of older industry in the midst of high-tech innovation and cloud computing. We had a nice turnout with partners, vendors, Citrix representatives, and numerous CUGC members.
CUGC leaders Patrick Fish (@Patrick Fish) and Alain Assaf (@Alain Assaf) greeted visitors along with Citrix Employee Erick Stein who provided our Citrix Synergy update.
Tony Hughes from Numecent provided a great overview of what they offer. If you have not yet looked into their products, I would strongly suggest you do. Their application packaging product has a lot of flexibility and none of the limitations of competing products.

After the presentation and prize raffle (congrats to Gary Buselt and Michael Warrillow our winners), Erick Stein gave us a tour of the Citrix building. Here are some pictures:

After our tour we met across the street at the Morgan Street Food Hall. Everyone enjoyed a variety of food and drinks. I tried a Katsu which was fantastic.

Thanks again to all who attended.
