Citrix Synergy 2019 Recap

by Carl Behrent, CTA

Well, another Citrix Synergy is done for the year and as always, they are a really good event full of great content and great networking.

The keynote packed in a lot of announcements:

It was great to see what the vendors were showcasing. Citrix had some great innovation demos (I loved the personal workspace IoT environment James Bulpin created), and ControlUp, IGEL, and Nutanix also had a big presence.

As always, one of the highlights at Synergy is catching up with all of the fellow community members, and I had some great discussions and general hang out time with them.

Side note: To conclude my U.S. trip, I went from Atlanta to Alabama for a few days to hang out with some friends. It was great being able to see another U.S. state and eating plenty of BBQ!

I had a crazy trip home (back to the future again), flew from Huntsville, AL to Denver to Los Angeles to Auckland (NZ) to New Plymouth all back to back, literally running to each gate to make the next flight, made it home very tired and missing my suitcase (seemed to have been a theme of this year’s Synergy for many attendees) but it was worth it.

Until next year…
