by Tobias Kreidl, CTP, Steering Committee President
We are deeply saddened to announce the unexpected loss of one of our own, Citrix and CUGC Community Manager Stephanie Roper.
Before her leadership with CUGC, Stephanie was already well-known and loved among the CTP community as a long-time Citrite. When she joined the CUGC HQ team in 2016, she brought her fun, vivacious spirit and generous nature to our community. She tirelessly supported CUGC’s local events near and far and our online work. She was instrumental in the development of the CTA program, which has brought so much outstanding technical content to our local meetings, webinars and blogs.
One of CUGC’s most vocal cheerleaders, Stephanie’s big smile and warm heart will be greatly missed by us all. On every call and at every meeting, Stephanie’s humor and kindness shined through. We loved when she shared with us pictures of her young boys, always adorable and sometimes even in CUGC gear. Whatever the task, she offered her talents, connections and hard work. She was all in for CUGC and the team.
Beyond the loss we feel for ourselves and our community, we extend our most heartfelt thoughts and sympathies to Stephanie’s husband and two sons, as well as her entire family as they endure the long days ahead.
Stephanie was a devoted wife, mother, colleague and friend. Her positive encouragement and energetic personality influenced so many, from her own family and friends to her Citrix and CUGC families. We are truly thankful to have known her and will greatly miss her.
Because Stephanie touched so many lives, many people have already asked how to help Stephanie’s family through this difficult time. Thus, a GoFundMe page has been set up for anyone who would like to contribute: https://www.gofundme.com/stephanie-roper-memorial-fund
With deepest sympathies,
The CUGC Steering Committee and the entire team at HQ
